A Gillian Welch Tribute
An afternoon that pays tribute to the inspirational and iconic female American singer-songwriter Gillian Welch, who's music spanning across the country, folk, bluegrass and Americana genres has been hugely influential to aspiring, emerging and established female and LGTBQI+ artists locally. Returning to The Gem for a second year after a hugely successful debut in 2023 as part of Leaps and Bounds.
The Boite Presents FLIGHT
From 3pm - 9.30pm on Sunday 28 July audiences at Flight will be treated to multi-genre performances featuring live-looping, neo-soul, folk-pop, psych-funk, soul, Latin rhythms and cultural instruments such as the Persian kamancheh as well as Eritrean and Ethiopian stringed instruments. Featured acts include Lauren Sheree with her band Dean of Soul, Jad Pinnone, Itunu, Urlik Mageza, Sanaz Saadatfar, Chantelle Beale and 11:10 (Ten Past Eleven), plus a secret headliner to be revealed!
Kee’ahn Front Bar Session
Experience the Front Bar of the Corner Hotel in a whole new light as it plays host to the remarkable First Nations artist, Kee'ahn, as part of the Leaps and Bounds Festival with Yarra Council. Bop the arvo away to Kee'ahn's soulful melodies, where their powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics paint a vivid picture of her cultural heritage and personal journey.
The Final Dance
A day party of music at Dr. Morse. This event is a Leaps and Bounds collaboration with Yarra Youth Services and will feature naarm-based artists alongside up-and-coming graduates from their music programs.
Baby, You’re a Star
A family-friendly day party for big and little kids alike. Join us for music, food and drinks at everyone's favourite local waterhole Lullie Tavern, with live sets and DJs from midday on the 28th of July.
Annual Leaps and Bounds Record Fair
The Annual Leaps & Bounds Record Fair returns to the Collingwood Town Hall for the third year running. This FREE entry event is the largest inner city Melbourne record fair with 35+ vendors stretching across all genres and styles. Not to be missed!

All Night Fever, a Queercore Punk Gig and Dance Party
Shining a light on POC and LGBTQI+ people involved in a community of underground raves, punk and hardcore music, with the latter that is still very cis male centric. Taking inspiration and giving homage to the Queercore punk movement started in the 80's and that still exists in the underground today, lifting themselves up in a music subculture of cis male dominance, stereotypes and oppressions.
The Old Bar Band Bonanza
Come and spend the whole weekend at The Oldie for THE OLD BAR BAND BONANZA presented by Leaps & Bounds. From 5pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday get yourself front and centre for some of the best damn bands going around.
Tjum Tjumba Launch Fundraiser
Tjum Tjumba (meaning "beat-beat" in Djab Wurrung) is an Aboriginal-owned organisation that is dedicated to embracing, promoting, and celebrating Aboriginal culture, making it accessible to a broader audience through the combination of traditional Aboriginal knowledge with modern societal cultural practices, primarily the universal language of music.
