The Gem and Leaps and Bounds Festival present 20 Years of 'Soul Journey' - a Gillian Welch tribute ft Loretta Miller, Ruby Jones, Baby Velvet, James Ellis, Hana Brenecki & More

An afternoon that pays tribute to the inspirational and iconic American singer-songwriter Gillian Welch, who's music spanning across the country, folk, bluegrass and Americana genres has been hugely influential to aspiring, emerging and established artists locally.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Welch's classic and universally loved album 'Soul Journey', and to celebrate the milestone, a collective of artists will come together to perform songs from the album as well as other favourites. This fantastic lineup of guest vocalist including Loretta Miller, Ruby Jones, Baby Velvet, Hana Brenecki, James Ellis, and more will be joined by an all star band featuring Joel Loukes Louie King, Esther Henderson and Wynona Miller. Gillian fans rejoice !

Led by Loretta Miller, fiery front woman of JAZZPARTY, the guest vocalists also include renowned local artists Ruby Jones, Baby Velvet, Hana Brenecki and James Ellis, joined by all star band featuring her sister Wynona Miller, Louie King ( Dope Lemon), Esther Henderson and Joel Loukes ( Ruby Jones, Riley Catherall).
