David Hood will provide a pre-concert talk on the music of Liszt and provide a  reflection on having Liszt as a musical companion over many decades & touching on nationality;  Liszt’s creative journey & importance; & the odd trickster moment, during his long life.

David Hood has given pre-concert talks for the Melbourne Symphony; broadcast The Piano Album on 3 MBS FM & was a semi-finalist on the ( original ) ABC Mastermind, with the Life & Music of Franz Liszt, as his specialist subject. A pianist, he was awarded the Franz Liszt Memorial Plaque in 1986, by the Hungarian Government, for his long time interest in Liszt & promotion of this great Hungarian.

WHAT I LEARNT FROM FRANZ LISZT: The Magic; the Music; the Memories is part of On the Road Again, a Victorian Government initiative to bring live music back across the state.
